So awesome. We used to play at Coffee Talk a lot. One of my favorite venues for sure ;-).
I like your original first picks for all except the 3rd which I like the lighting on her face better. The last one I like that the traffic is cropped out, she's not staring at the wall but out into open air and the natural light reflecting on her is pretty. But, it's just my opinion and perspective and it's kinda hard to pick at your photos when they are all beautiful :)
Thanks Uilani! My favorite thing about test shoots (as opposed to magazine editorials) is that I don't *have* to pick just one of each look…even if two are similar, each can say something slightly different. I feel good about the overall first round picks, and I felt a little silly turning such colorful shots black and white, but I LOVE black and white, hehe. :D
You are absolutely right!!! And even when you turn a photo into a b/w image it can immediately give a different feeling, and I so love b/w too I just wish my clients would love them just as much:)
Your 2nd pick of the 2nd look, can you make the model, table and drink color and leave the rest black & white? Just wondering what it would look like.
